Watch short film to raise funds. May no father have to face this situation.

Posted on Dec 19, 2010 07:22:28 PM

This is a short film that I did as a Director and Cinematographer to help Kauthar TV raise funds for films that will hopefully make society better… Had very little time to design and execute this project but my team and me really put ourselves behind this…
Cast: Adnan Jilani, Saleem Raza, Tamoor Ali, Akash, Erum, Kuku, Lily and others

This film highlights the fact that coming generations learn more from the media than from anything else and we as Muslims have nothing much to show in the audio visual media. We have books and speakers but there is a serious lack of programming and films that can inform and emotionally motivate younger generations to come closer to our cherished values. We are losing the battle in the information age and are failing to transfer Islamic values to the next generation. Things can go very wrong if this trend continues. Act now before it is too late.

Let us make sure that no father has to face this…ever.

Yazeed Hazir Ho!! Film on terrorism launching soon… Watch trailer here.

Yazeed – the greatest terrorist that ever was. Maula Hussain Alayhis Salaam, the grandson and beloved of Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alayhe Wa Aalehi Wa Sallam vanquished this super tyrant with his own sacrifice and proved to the world that love and sacrifice are stronger than terror. Yazeed believed in the power of terror and had no respect for humanity. The martyrs of Karbala were few in number but they vanquished the tyrant and his large army in such a way that the very name of Yazeed has become a cursed name forever.

The hearts of lovers rejoice at the very mention of Aqa Hussain. Maula Abbas is a Ghazi who won the battle of hearts even as he lost his hands and his life trying to get water for Sakina. The accursed henchmen of the accursed Yazeed slaughtered baby Asgher and killed the family of the Prophet.
Their terror had no effect on Maula Hussain Alayhis Salam or his supporters. But the sacrifice of the Martyrs of Karbala has a profound effect even after more than 1400 years. My latest film is a story of such a profound effect on the heart and mind of a criminal.

The film was a project of www.kauthartv.com I was fortunate to serve as the Director and Cinematographer for this film. The cast includes:
Taqi Wasi
Erum Akhter
Khayam Sarhadi
Laila Zubairi
Fazal Hussain (Child Star)
… and many others

“Yazeed Hazir Ho” is a film about the ‘encounter’ of this criminal in Muharram with a Hussaini. The film is a story of Terrorism vs Love and sacrifice and the everlasting effect of Love.

This post is a very brief announcement that we are taking one of our films offline due to reasons that cannot be disclosed as of now.

Our film titled “Fatwaa” was a big hit with online audiences when it was launched and got thousands of views within days of it’s launch. But we are sorry to announce that we will be taking it off our channel and even off our blog and website. This is due to reasons beyond our control.

Please remember me and my team in your prayers.

This film is based on true events… When I was given the assignment to make a film on terrorism, I wanted it to be based on reality. I have personally seen and interviewed people affected by acts of terrorism. And it was a devastating experience for me.

It rained. Water wept. Watch film inside.

Posted on Aug 11, 2010 01:42:35 AM

kauthartv.com asked me to make a short film that would remind the world again and again about the sacrifice of the grandson of Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alayhe Wa Aalehi Wa Sallam. The inspiration to do a film came from the rain and the water all around, which reminded the producer about the events of Karbala.

Completed two films – Two more to go before Ramadan.

Posted on Jul 11, 2010 12:31:22 PM

My sincere apologies to all my audiences for not having posted anything significant in the last few weeks. It’s been quite hectic and we just completed two very important films “Aghosh” and “Fatwaa”. “Aghosh” is a about a young man overcoming his phobia and “Fatwaa” is about hmmm… “terrorism”. One story is about fear turning into love and the other is about hate turning into love.

Meanwhile your emails and feedback have been pouring in. Thank you all for that. I am really on a tight schedule because I have to finish two fund raising films before Ramadan. Both sponsors are close to my heart because they both work for serving humanity. The films that I am doing for them will hopefully move audiences into giving funds to them so that they can serve more people in a better way. Please keep praying that I am able to move people as intended…

Here are some pics from my last two films which will be released by the sponsors themselves.

See below for more pics:
