I have just uploaded 4 new films that we produced recently and as with all our films these films too were produced with the financial and other co-operation of brothers and sisters in Islam from all across the globe.
Shunning Bribery and Corruption, showing kindness towards parents, being humble and showing respect for all Prophets – these were the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and these teachings are highlighted in the 4 short films below.
Here are the links to these 4 new film uploads:

  6. Hassaan Ahmad Said,

    AssalamUalaykum Wa Rahmatullah

An impressive work. JazakumALLAH Khair for such an excellent efforts.

“There is nothing for humans in the afterlife except what they have worked hard for.”
    [Holy Quran, 53:39]

I would like to draw your kind attention towards an important point which is that proper Hijaab is not observed in your movie clips.

The word “hijab” comes from the Arabic word “hajaba” meaning to hide from view or conceal. In the present time, the context of hijab is the modest covering of a Muslim woman. The question now is what is the extent of the covering? The Qur’an says:

“Say to the believing man that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that will make for greater purity for them; and Allah is well acquainted with all that they do. And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; and that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands…” (Qur’an 24:30-31)

These verses from the Qur’an contain two main injunctions:

1.A woman should not show her beauty or adornments except what appears by uncontrolled factors such as the wind blowing her clothes, and

2.the head covers should be drawn so as to cover the hair, the neck and the bosom.

May ALLAH (S.W.T) bless us all.

Peace and blessings upon Holy Prophet(S.A.W)

    Regards,

    Hassaan Ahmad

  7. Ebrahym Said,

Thank you for the compliments about my work. The laws of hijab that you have quoted are for the women (about modest coverings) and for the men (lowering of the gaze). These laws are for individuals. As a film making company we show many aspects of society and it is sometimes necessary to show social life as it is. Like a mirror of the society that we live in.

We have observed modest dressing in our films but this dressing may not be a technical hijab according to many islamic jurisprudence schools of thought.

We have consulted various Islamic scholars about our position as filmmakers (not as men and women or not as individuals – as individuals we are bound by the laws of hijab).
All scholars were of the view that as long as we show the women in a dress that is commonly used by women in a society and as long as we show the women in a dress that is accepted as being modest in a society, it is ok for us as film makers since we are merely mirroring the society.

In most of our films we show the women covered up in a Pakistani dress ‘Shalwar Kameez’ with a dupatta except for certain exceptional cases where we have to portray the character of women of loose character or of atheist or women from different cultures.

It is mostly a subjective decision but we will try and use more modest dressing wherever we can in the future.
